1st Camera bought and paid for!

Exciting stuff, our first shiney new camera has arrived! The Panasonic Lumix FT3 is a 12 mega-pixel waterproof and shockproof camera that takes a lovely photo. Waterproof to 12 metres, this will let Vicky get all those important underwater shots using the same camera that we will be carrying around on a day to day basis.

What's more, it's bright blue which is really cool!

Tent Chosen!

Well we've made the decision on the tent! The Shangri La 5 has come out on top (pictured below on left), and will officially be our home for 8 months!

It's lighter that our Phad X3, and probably not as stable in a hurricane, but the space is invaluable. At 6ft tall, I can nearly stand fully upright and Vicky has head room to spare!

So that's one more thing sorted and paid for, insurance, technology and more jabs to come!

The First Post!!

Hi everybody, and welcome to the first post of our honeymoon travel blog!

Ok, so I may be 6 months early in setting this up, but I got a little over excited :) Anyway, it just means that you can listen to our preparations and get a feel for how we're shaping up. I've been appointed "blog guy" and Vicky has created a beatiful looking journal that she will compile as we travel.

Well the vaccination process is well and truly under way, looks like we will be having more jabs and tabs than you can shake a stick at! Incredibly we'll be spending not that far under £1000 each just on vaccinations!

Next big decision is the tent, and at that a decision that we thought we had already made. But will we take our trusty Colemans Phad X3 (Very waterproof and sturdy but lacking height), or take the plunge and upgrade to the more spacious but less waterproof Go Lite Shangri La 5?

Our tickets are booked for this years Outdoors Show in London, on the shopping list are 2 shiney new cameras and a new compact laptop.

Come back and view the blog again soon to see how our preparations are coming along!
