New Camera and Visas Update

Fujifilm Finepix HS20 EXR
The second of our 2 cameras has now been bought and paid for! As you have already seen we have selected the Panasonic Lumix FT3 as our standard "point and click" camera, but we also wanted to take something with us to help improve our photography and to allow us to capture some slightly more advanced pictures using lenses and filters. So we decided on this; The Fujifilm Finepix HS20 EXR. It's a 16mp bridge camera with a 30x manual zoom lens, to which we can fit a few different filters to adjust the look of the pictures we take. Looking forward to getting some cracking shots with this!

In other news we are still waiting on the return of our Indian visas. Vicky originally had her's returned by an overly picky worker at the visa office (by all accounts our tour driver suffered the same fate!), but that has now since been returned and processed. Mine has, according to a phone call I received, been processed on Wednesday last week, however I am yet to see any attempt to get my passport back to me so far. So it's fingers crossed that it will arrive back with me safely so that I can apply for the Iranian visa next.

Coming soon I will be doing a feature on the packing of our bags, and I might even record a video post so that you can see it all a bit clearer! See you soon :)

Indian visas done....(we think!)

Well our first visa application for the trip has gone off today. After filling in what seemed to be the most complicated online form the world has ever seen, we finally printed off our documents and posted them off to the   visas office this morning. Lets just keep our fingers crossed that we have filled in the forms correctly, and that the visas are granted shortly so that we can start applying for Pakistan and Iran!
